Compulsorily sober?

William Magee ( 1821- 1891) was born in CorkĀ in educated at Kilkenny College, and Trinity College Dublin. At the end of a distinguished career as an Anglican churchman he was appointed Archbishop of York, but died soon after taking office. The above remark was made in The House of Lords in 1872.
